GUIDELINES for contributing photographers/models/fashion designers/makeup artists/hair stylists/writers/artists…
hereinafter referred to as “submitter“
Submission calls are always open.
Occasionally special themes will be announced separately.
- Accepted photos will be published on (at least) 6 pages & on an extra page with credits, bio, etc.
- Please note: images might be cropped to fit the layout.
- All submissions are free of charge.
- There are no fees for cover placements, interviews, social posts etc.
- Exclusivity is not required.
- Publications will be announced on social media; published photos will be featured; submitter and team will be tagged.
- The magazines are available as print and digital publications.
- Purchasing magazine issues is not mandatory.
- There will be no free copies of the magazines, unless particularly stated.
- The submitter will receive free digital tear sheets within 60 days after publication.
- Personalized badges are available for download as soon as the magazine is published. Regular non-personalized badges are also available and free to download.
Terms & conditions
The submitter needs to own all rights/copyrights or have permission from the copyright owner to submit photo(s)/artwork/poetry; also the permission from everyone involved (team/in frame/pet owners etc.)
The submitter/the copyright owner agrees to grant tomofama magazine permission to publish the submitted image(s)/artwork(s)/poem(s) in print, digital and online forms; on the publisher’s /magazine’s website and on social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc).
The copyright remains with the owner.
The publications will contain the submitter’s name and they will
be tagged, also everyone else that needs to be mentioned.
The submitter assumes responsibility for indemnifying
tomofama magazine from any claim that may arise from the
use of the photograph(s)/artwork(s)/poem(s).
Please note: Copyrights and personal rights in print media are more complicated than online postings.
It is imperative to obtain the consent of all people photographed/involved.
The submitter must have permission from the
photographer (copyright owner) to submit photos
If photos are accepted, the photographer must approve
the magazine draft prior to publication.
Copyright infringement is illegal !
Image requirements for print publishing
- High resolution JPEG
- sRGB color profile
- at least 1 MB
- 300 dpi
- 3300 pixels on the long edge
- without logo, watermark, signature, frame;
- no screenshots
- 10-20 photos
- including credits and necessary information
- please do not enlarge low resolution images
Images that don’t meet the requirements will be rejected
Please note: For legal reasons we cannot accept photos with railroad tracks.
For ethical reasons we cannot accept photos with real fur.
The submitter has to check the provided information carefully.
No changes will be possible after the editorial deadline and the completion of the magazine issues. The submitter will receive a link to a draft for approval before publishing. The publications must also be approved by the copyright owner (e.g. photographer/writer).
